Question I5 8600K overclocked paired with RTX 3070TI

I'm currently wanting to upgrade my GPU to a RTX 3070TI but I don't want to spend the money on a new ram, motherboard and CPU.

I currently have a i5 8600k, do you think this would be worth the money? or would my CPU bottleneck too much?

I'm wanting to either run in 4K or 1440p but undecided at the moment.

Should be alright, higher the resolution the less the CPU matters. Six cores is more than most people have. No hyperthreading, but not terrible.

You could potentially buy a used i9-9900k if you wanted to gain as much CPU performance as possible without a full upgrade. Then sell the 8600K to get a little back.

Yes, you should have your max FPS well defined by the 3070Ti. CPU performance will set the minimum frame rate you will see in some circumstances.
