yes you defintely get more fps on the 7700K and you can clock to 5Ghz easier on that chip compared to the i58600k. ONLY if that game is the only one running. the advantage of the 8600k over it, is simple its multicore. its common fact that your fps will drop if there are other apps running at the same time. you wont feel that much on the 8600k.
another advantage of the 8600k which isnt obvious is its new architecture. provides more power efficiency and clock to speeds higher with less voltage as its goal. energy savings and power step plans are more effective on this one. next year if intel stays on the same pattern like in the past few years. they will release a new board which will only support the z370s around late next year.
You don't know what you're talking about whatsoever.
First of all, the 8600K has way better gaming performance than the 7700K. Look
here and
here.
Second of all, it's a lot easier getting 5GHz on the 8600K than the 7700K. Here's Silicon Lottery data:
1,
2. The top 65% of tested 7700K chips hit 5GHz or higher. Meanwhile, the top 84% of tested 8600K chips hit 5GHz or higher. It also takes a bit less voltage.
Coffee Lake isn't a new architecture at all. It's still Skylake architecture with optimizations and errata fixes on 14nm++. It's true that it consumes less power despite offering considerably more performance.
