[SOLVED] I5 9400 and i5 9400f

Hi, been struggling to answer this question as I honestly just don’t know. Basically what I’m asking is, is there any motherboards which support i5 7400 which I currently have and also i5 9400f?

No, there are no motherboards available which support both a 7th Gen i5 7400 and a 9th Gen i5 9400.

There were changes made to the 8th and 9th Gen Intel Core CPU pin layout and the 1151 socket, so eventhough both CPUs psysically fit in the same CPU socket, and have the same number of pins, they are not compatible due to the changed pin layout. They require different motherboards.
