[SOLVED] i5-9400F in H310M PRO-M2 PLUS no longer working

my LED for the cpu is on in the EZ DEBUG lights. i haven’t touched this computer in almost a year and it has been completely off, it used to work just fine. boot up perfectly and everything. but now it won’t even detect my keyboard or anything when I plug it in and the cpu/pins look to be just fine. i need help, I can’t even get a post.

You could amend your own rather sparsely detailed 'fixed it' post to show what you tried/did so some similarly afflicted poor H310/9400F owner in the future might benefit?

Example: reseat RAM and tried one stick at a time, no help; as mainboard had no output from GPU or from mainboard's onboard, I reset /cleared CMOS (removed PSU input power , removed CMOS battery, held down /repeatedly pressed power switch for 20 seconds, reinstalled everything
