[SOLVED] i5-9400f upgrade

So I just got about 150$ in amazon gift cards for my b day and I was thinking of upgrading my cpu a bit. I’m looking at the i5-9600k, and once overclocked it offers about a 20-25% performance increase, also I got an h100i rgb pro xt water cooler and I want to put that puppy to use. Any thought? Also, I will be selling the i5-9400f if I upgrade, bringing the net cost of the 9600k to about $100. Should I go for it?

Those are basically the same CPUs, except for the ability to OC. It would not be a worthwhile investment.

If you really want a performance boost, save up and go for a 9700k/9900k.

Hmm.... before i was thinking of getting a 2060 super, then I thought that was too much so I thought about the cpu, now I’m going back to the gpu... the reason I want to upgrade is because I just got a really good 1440p 165hz monitor and my pc needs all low to hit that 165 hz so what should I do then...
