I am in a confuse whether to buy i5 9600k or i5 9400f. I want to play recent AAA games in high settings with decent fps. Also the game play will be in 1080p 75hz monitor. Not going to overclock my processor. If choosing i5 9400f bottleneck my gpu?. My budget is $1000.

Motherboard - Msi z390 A-pro
Gpu - Gegabyte Gtx 1660ti
Psu - corsair cx 450
Ram - 8gb ddr4 2400 Mhz

Solution
Personally I would pick a Ryzen 3600/3700 over any i5.

The main benefit out of those is the k can be overclocked.

You also want to go 16gb RAM (2x8gb kit).
Performance difference between i5 9600k and i5 9400f is ~12%. Both of them are 6core/6thread cpus. They are very close in performance.
Biggest difference is - i5-9400f doesn't have integrated graphics, but since you're having discrete graphics, then this is of no consequence.
Anyway - get the cheaper one.

Or if you can, then get i7-8700. That would be a better choice.

Will going to gtx 1660 be a good choice for this processor?
