I am building a intel i5 Quad core on a budget so far this is what I have after hours of research. It will cost only $359.50.

Motherboard: ASUS Socket 1156/Intel H55/HDMI/A and V and GbE/MATX Motherboard P7H55-M PRO

Processor(CPU): Intel Core i5-650 Processor 3.20 GHz 4 MB Cache Socket LGA1156

Case & Power supply: XION mATX/ITX Slim HTPC Desktop Case with 5-in-One Card-reader, 450 Watt Power Supply - Retail XON-810P_Red (Red)

Memory(RAM): Corsair 4GB Dual Channel Corsair DDR3 Memory for Intel Core i5 Processors (I am buying two of these)

The other parts such as HD and DVD Drive, I already have. Along with a better Power supply if needed. let me know what you think of this build. All of the items are on amazon.

An i3-2100 would be a better gaming CPU despite only 2 cores. It's usually cheaper too. Here's the cheapest gaming build I've been able to come up with, should be ok at low resolutions.

i3-2100
ASRock H61M-VS
Antec EarthWatts Green EA-380D 380W
MSI HD 5670
4GB G.Skill NS
Rosewill R102-P-BK

That comes to $350 on Newegg. It would really benefit from spending an extra $50-100 on the graphics but as i said, HD 5670 is ok at low resolutions.
