Yep like everyone else. If you have the money go for the I5 but make sure you get the new LGA 1150 chipset just so you can always upgrade in the future. I recommend the I5 4670 cpu. But there is nothing wrong with the FX 6300 cpu. I use that cpu in my system with the gtx 660ti and I can run most games on either high or ultra. But if I would of had the money I would of went with the I5 just cause it is a better cpu overall. But the 6300 is a great cpu for a budget build!

I found when shopping for parts to build my first gaming PC recently that the savings i would get from going with the fx6300 instead of an i5-3470 did not allow me enough extra room in my budget to step up to the next level gfx card or anything else substantial. So I went with the i5-3470 paired with a gtx 660 and sli capable MoBo because the i5 would give me a much stronger foundation for future upgrades.
Plus I know if I did buy the FX I'm sure at some point I'd say to myself "man I should have just bought the i5" So I'd say go with the stronger processor to build a good set of core components.
