Ok iam new to building pc. I want to build a pc for my sons birth day. Hey got into pc games this year and he plays League or legends, Day Z, along with other steam games. and minecraft.

he just pick this up for 175 just to play league not sure if he can play any thing eles on it.

So my understanding is that i5 is better for gaming why is this? and the i7 i better for over clocking?

The i5 is not better for gaming, it is simply cheaper for minimal performance loss. With a build like that though, I would recommend an i7. Redid your build to save some money on unnecessary parts, and fit the i7 in for the same amount That's an expensive case though... And expensive speakers + headset lol but hey, that's all up to you.
