i5 or i7 for video editing

Hello, I'm in process of buying a laptop primary for video editing. Doubt is in laptops with i5 6300HQ or with i7 6700HQ processors. Will 150$ be worth of spending here in Croatia on i7 over i5 for this purpose?

The i7 will render video a lot quicker than the i5, especially a 6300. Only you can answer whether that's worth it or not.

I would personally recommend an i7 for working with video files but the i5 will do it perfectly well, just slower.

Seeing how the i7-6700HQ is a quad-core with hyper-threading and a slightly higher clock speed, I would say yes it would be worth it to spend the extra $150 on the i7 over the i5.

if youre doing video editing, and you plan on keeping it for more than a year or two i would say yes.
