i5 or Xeon

Hi, i'm building a cheap pc for a friend, and I found an Intel Xeon E3-1225 3.1GHZ and an i5-2400 for the same price. Both are used but still work. So which one would be better?

They will perform pretty much exactly the same since the i5 is the xeon but without some high end xeon features.
