Hi,

I am currently trying to overclock my i6600k, following various videos/guides, etc.

I have set it in the Bios to 44 x 100 (should give me 4.4ghz) but windows task manager, CPUID and NZXT Cam are all showing my CPU at 3.3GHz, why isnt my overclock working?

Thanks

Solution
Tinkering with Baseclock above 102 MHz usually leads to corrupted OS drives, etc... (I'd be shocked anything works at 120 MHz...)
I'd reset your BIOS, then set multiplier control to manual vice the default/auto setting, assuming you have a Z-series board, as one cannot OC without one..

So I've managed to up it to 4.0ghz by changing the BCLK to 120 and leaving the ratio to auto.looks like theres a problem with the ratio because its locked and cant change it
