Question i7 12700k peaks at 87c with 240m radiator

guys i just gor a brand new i7 12700k and a cooler master 240m cooler and when i put the cpu under 100% stress it peaks at 87c degrees, and the idle temperature is 40c which i think is high? guys what should i do? is 240m weak for this cpu?

There are multiple variables involved, leading to a very wide gap with what multiple systems could see.
Low load thermals are not as important as full load thermals.
40C is your normal; others will see more or less.

guys what should i do?

No cpu stress tests under auto Vcore with Intel cpus! Even more so, if there's some OC profile active.
The experience will almost always be subpar.

is 240m weak for this cpu?

No.
