I7 2.3GHz vs i7 3.3GHz big difference?

The title asks it all, is it really that much of a difference? Say I have a GTX 675 for both, how much of a difference would I get in battlefield 3 and any other games?

Well if it is same generation I7 one is 43% faster! It will though not reflect fully on BF3 since it is more the GPU that gives the gaming performance.
