Aight, now I have a monitor question. I've been looking around quit a bit, but i'm still not sure where to go...

So i've been looking at 24" LCDs that are below 380ish, but a lot of them that are recommended by various lists are olderish and are no longer on newegg. Is this a bad sign, or is it fine to buy a monitor that is 8ish months old?

One of the newer screens i've been looking at is the LG W2453V-PF (?W2442PA?) but i can't tell what the difference is between these two models, other than the fact that the 2453 is on newegg and the other isn't. Is the 2453 a good screen? Or at least good enough?
