HELLO everyone !!!
So I currently own an i3 4160 and msi eco h81m Mobo paired with gtx 1060 6gb.As you can see this pairing in most games my CPU is being bottlenecked. So I want to upgrade but in my country buying an i7 4770 is expensive as hell even in used .For the same price as i7 4770 I am getting i7 2600 k and z68 Mobo and a cooler as well.so should I sell the i3 and buy i7 4770 or sell both the Mobo and processor and get the latter deal. Also selling the Mobo will get me I 7 2600 k cheaper than 4770

i7 2600 will start to bottleneck a little with the gtx 1070. If you are going to use only the gtx 1060 and are not going to upgrade then the i7 2600 is fine. If you are planning to upgrade the gpu in the future get the i7 4770, its bottleneck limit is the 1080 ti.
All this is @1080p

PS nice downvote, any links to support?

Sorry its my first thread ,i actually upvoted but it didnt seem working so i pressed downvote and guess what immediate -1 .i tried changing it back but i guess it wont allow to change your vote

Anyhow I kinda agree with you on this but if i buy 2600k ,manage to get it to 4.5 ghz, will it be better than i7 4770 at 3.4 ghz ?And I only do gaming nothing else at 1920 1080 ,60hz.

Passmark of i7 4770 @3.4GHz is close to 9800 and the i7 2600k @4.6GHz is close to 12000 so the OCed i7 2600k will perform better.
BTW, if you have only HDD this will be the biggest bottleneck of your system not the CPU or GPU.

I think too that the best upgrade for OP system is the i7 4970k because it consumes just 88W versus much more power that the i7 2600k @4.5GHz will consume, so in the long run the 4970k will be cheaper considering the electric bill. There is also the issue of the PSU in that PC, maybe it was enough for i3 4160 but won't be enough for i7 2600k @4.5GHz.

I own a corsair vs 550 not that good but i think it will get the job done and btw is there any 4970K?????
