I have a i7 2600, a mobo ASUS p8z77 v-pro, 16gb RAM and... I guess that's enough...
I've used the mobo automatic system and my CPU jump from 3.4GHz to 3.5GHz... But i want more!!! Something like 3.9 or 4.0...
Can someone help me? ;-;

Ok, I'll try.
Oh, I forget, I have a water cooler (antec kuhler 920 h2o) and without clock, it's stays in more or less 95ºF
So... I don't have problems with this...
And tks!

So... I tried to increase to 38 or 40 but doesn't make any effect...
I've disabled turbo mode and enhanced Intel speedstep technology.
Sorry for anything, I'm new in this oc world kkk
What I want mean it's: I change the value, but in the cpu-z for example, the cpu ratio stays 34...

So, the turbo mode was enabled and nothing happened even with the ratio increased. I turned it off to try something, but...
What I do now?

I get it, but, if not be possible to oc on z77, how does work the automatic mode that increase my processor to 3,5? And why the asus add the multiplier and blck controllers on the BIOS?
Why can I not increase the BLCK? Because in the automatic, BLCK was increased instead multiplier...
AAAAND---> sorry for my bad bad english, I'm br and I never make a english school, so my english is like a ugly duck in te sea... And I haven't patience to use Google Traductor =)

I'm not sure I understand all of your questions, but overclocking with the base block (BLCK) is quite dangerous because it effects other components in your PC, so it's always recommended to leave it at 100.
3.5Ghz is just the turbo mode kicking in, it's like Intel's dynamic overclocking feature, unfortunately with your CPU and motherboard you can't change how much it overclocks.

Ok... I understand...
Well, thank you for all =)
The last thing: if my CPU was a 2600K, overclocking possible? Or the only problem is my mobo?

Ok no problem.

Yes, if you had a 2600K then you could overclock with your motherboard.

Thank you very much =)
Thank all of you
A guess that I'ts all...
I love this forum! Tks again!
Bye!

I know I am supper late answering this forum, But I came across this topic while browsing..

So I have over clocked my i7-2600 non k CPU to 4.326 MHz!!!!!
You will be even surprised if you hear what cooler I used... its a $9.99 buck air cooler bought from Micro Center
Here is my Specs

CPU:- i7-2600 non K
CPU coller:- Purex DLX-CW919 LGA1150/1155/1156 CPU Cooler $9.99
Mother Board:- Asus P8Z77-V LK 1155 Chip Set (Missing the i/o shield 😀 )
Ram:- 4*4 16 GB DDR3... low profile; DDR= Double Data Rate. 800MHz in CPU-z is the same as DDR3-1600
SSD:- Two 128 GBSamsung 840 pro
GPU:- PNY GTX 460 1GB XLR8 (Overclocked Core Clock to 830 MHz from 765 MHz, Core Voltage 1025 mV same as before, Shadder Clock to 1660 MHz from 1530 MHz, Memory Clock 1850 MHz same as before)
PSU:- Corsair CX Series 600 Watt ATX/EPS Modular 80 PLUS Bronze
Case:- Corsair Carbide Series 200R Compact ATX Case CC-9011023-WW
Fans:- Intake:- Front, Bottom, Side Panel (blowing on to the GPU); Exhaust:- Back, 2 on top... so 6 in total, the 4 fans are generic Foxconn fans and the other 2 came with case corsair fan...
Display:- HP ZR2740w Resulation 2560*1440 60Hz... one heck of a monitor

SO I was trying to squeeze out every bit of performance from the aging CPU and GPU....
I used the Asus AI Suite 2 built in software to overclock the CPU (one click..that's it)
MSI Afterburner to overclock the GPU

CPU Temp :- Max stress test 70 C Idle 26 C Gaming 45-50 C
GPU Temp :- Max stress test 74 C Idle 43 C Gaming 50-55 C

I have to say I am very pleasantly surprised to see the results... No crashes or artifacts so far :) May be because of the airflow from multiple fans that I have in my Case; I am gaining this overclock results...if that's true.. I will add 2 more fans.. 😀

So there u have it... u can overclock non-k i7-2600 processor to 4.3Mhz + speed!
