I7 2600 overclocking

Hello guys could anyone help me overclocking an i7 2600 non "k" safely?

What motherboard do you have and do you have an aftermarket cooler?

I have a foxconn h61mxv and an CM Seidon 120v

So a couple things. Overclocking non k processors is possible but not as easy as unlocked ones. You can't change the multiplier. You'll have to use Bclk just as RCFProd posted. However, the motherboard you have is not designed for overclocking. It lacks the necessary physical features (no heat spreaders). I honestly don't even know if the BIOS with the Foxconn motherboard supports changing the VCore and Bclk. If you don't have good airflow in the case that will draw air across the board, since you have a single loop water cooler, the motherboard is going to heat up fast.

i7 2600 even at stock is a great CPU. Most likely isnt worth upgrading unless your are going to 4790k+.
