I7 2600 vs 950

i am about to buy a new pc , but i dont know which will be faster i7 2600 or 950
i read that the 950 is better in overclocking but i dont know why ?
( i dont want to upgrade the processor with a faster one in the future)
which will be easier to overclock i7 2600 with p67-ud3 (or ud5 )
or i7 950 with x58 ud3R

Yes.. Based on the simple fact that it can overclock.. If you even compare the 2500k to 2600k, the 2500k comes out as winner as the extra hyper threading feature of the 2600k is useless in games.. And the 2500k is cheaper also..

Hyper threading is advantageous in certain situations wherein applications can make use of as much amount of threads available for processing.. This includes 3D modeling apps such as 3DS Max, video editing apps such as after effects & combustion, video conversion apps such as handbrake etc.. Games still don't make any use of hyper threading and it doesn't looks like they would any sooner atleast..
