i7 2600k compatible with my Gigabyte Z87X-UD5H S1150 Intel Z87 DDR3 ATX Motherboard

Hi all, I would just like to know if my i7 2600k processor will be compatible with a Gigabyte Z87X-UD5H S1150 Intel Z87 DDR3 ATX Motherboard..
Will the i7 2600k which i am sure is a 1155 work in this motherboard as its a 1150?

No, they are different sockets and you need the pins on the socket to line up and match or nothing will work. Sorry but you will need a different motherboard or processor. 🙂
