i7 2600k inside a h61m-k?

So my friend is willing to sell me his i7 2600k for a really low price, but my mb is the "h61m-k" and on their site ( https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H61MK/HelpDesk_CPU/ )
it says that that cpu isn't supported by my mb, does that mean that I cannot put it in whatsoever or that I just won't be able to overclock it?

You can put in. It may work or it may not.

Most likely won't work. If you look at the support list, all of the CPU's are basically the "s" or "t" versions. The motherboard will probably not support the i7 2600k because of the wattage requirements.

thats what I thought, but why does it support the 3570k and 3770k then?

The i7 2600k is a 95 watt CPU. The 3570 and 3770 are 77 watts
