Question i7 2600K - Ram upgrade

Hello, I have 2600K, ram 1333mhz and z77, I want to buy 1600mhz RAM, will it start? Because the processor only supports 1333 but the motherboard up to 2400.

It should work. The motherboard chipset often determines that, and you have the Z77 which supports faster memory.
