Greetings!

I would like to play larger scale battles in Total War Rome 2. My current setup starts to lag at around 10 thousand people. I would to like to play 15k+ battles without lagging.

Will upgrading my i7 2600k to a 5820k or 5930k and my ram from 16Gb ddr3 to 32 Gb ddr4 improve my gaming performance in Total War Rome 2.

My current setup is:
i7 2600k
780Ti
16GB ddr3 1600 ram

Thanks ~~

I think your CPU is still a beast, and should only upgrade if you are sure that the CPU is the bottleneck.
Use MSI Afterburner to check GPU/CPU/RAM utilization while gaming.
The one that`s constantly at 99-100% is the part that`s holding you back.

Are you sure its the cpu in fault?
Because that cpu is still really powerful,as for the lag it could possibly be an error with the driver or even cooling which could cause thermothrottling, other than that, have you tried reducing the settings a bit, if so did it help?
