I7 2700k Processing Data Width 64 bit only?

Or is that a typo I keep reading on the spec sheets? I'll run win 7 ult 64 bit, but lets say a program that is built on a 32 bit platform is installed. Can it be ran using the 2700k?

I just want to make sure or someone school me please? I am assuming it has a 32/64 bit processing data width. But not sure.

It will run 32 bit applications; otherwise they wouldn't sell that many since most applications still are 32 bit.
