There is this processor named the the Intel E3 1239 V2.I read it is basically a i7 3770 non k but without integrated graphics. It costs $235, while the i7 costs $290.it works perfectly on any 7 series chipset, though its reccommended to be used on the B75 and Z77 platforms.

so my question is should I spring for it, or is the deal too good to be true?

Thanks for the info, but I live in Bangladesh so i'm either get it off Newegg/Amazon or from Malaysia.

Well then if your planning on getting a gpu than go its the xenon but if not the i5 will be good. The xenon is a great cpu but it is mostly used for servers so what are you planning on doing with your rig

You can run a Xeon just fine for a desktop rig. I used to run an X3210 in an Abit P35 pro. It was a great chip back in the day.
