I have a i7 3770 non k overclocked to 4.3ghz with multiplier set to 43(the max it will go), blck at 100mhz in the bios, and core voltage at 1.300, but CPUz only validates it at 4.1 ghz, and sometimes the clock speed fluctuates to 4.299ghz, the multiplier in CPUz says 16-43, and under load the cpu will only stay at 4.1 ghz. why is my CPU not running at 4.3 ghz?

Solution
It should only go to 4.1 typically. They allow 200mhz above max turbo on locked processors when put in a zseries board with ivy bridge. Try messing with turbo boost off and see if it'll stay at 4.3. you can also turn off some of the power savings stuff and see if it'll stay up. If that doesn't work you can likely run your bclk at 102 maybe even 103 and get real close to 4300mhz (it may be unstable at 103 as it's tied to pci lanes and everything else on ivy bridge)
