I am using i5 2500 cpu on my Intel DH61CR mobo I want to upgrade to i7 3770 cpu. I want to ask if my mobo is compatible with i7 3770 I searched on google and i found out that my bios is comptible according to intel site but my AA# is not and what I understand is that I cant upgrade because the AA# has to be compatible as well can some tell me if I can use i7 3770 on it or not
My bios version BEH6110H.86A.0041

According to CPU-Upgrade, filtered by PCB... the Ivy Bridge generation is not supported with G14064-203 or later. If you can find a way to contact Intel, that would be the best. Btw, did you mis-type your AA# or is it really ...1406... rather than 14064? Because I can't locate anything relating to that rev. no.
its 14064 sorry and I read on intel site that Ivy Bridgeis supported on G14064-204 or later mine is 203 but my bios are 3rd gen ready so will it work or not?

I think your best option is to pick up someone's used gaming rig. Staying with 2nd generation Core processors going forward is going to put a lot of limits on what you can run and still get decent frame rates.
