[SOLVED] i7 3770 or Xeon E3 1230/1240 v2

Hi guys, i need some advice in this choice. My Current PC Spec is:

i5 3470
2x4 DDR3 1600 @CL9
1TB Seagate
DVD+R DL Drive
ECS H61H2-MV Motherboard
MSi GT 730 1GB GDDR5 OC Edition
PSU Corsair VS450 80+

and im going to upgrade with:

i7 3770 or E3 1230/1240 v2
2x8GB DDR3 1600
1TB WD Blue
Gigabyte GA-B75M-D2H
any GTX 1650 Super will do
PSU FSP HV PRO 550w 80+

the question is, will the motherboard support E3 1230/1240 v2? even after i update the bios?
i might still use my i5 3470 to update the bios, then use the Xeon to update to the latest bios (also do i need to flash the Bios for the cpu support? then Flash again to the latest? or just flash to the latest?)

my current aim is Rendering and Editing, and why not ryzen + ddr4? i didnt have that much budget yet i might use this for 3-5 years and pass it to my sister. any advice will do.

Thank you in advance :D

Depends on the motherboard, is it a D3H or D2V i could not find a D2H.

Ether way yes a Xeon E3 will fit it. the D3H needs Bios version F6, the D2V needs Bios version F3

in terms of performance the 3770 is just slightly ahead of both of the xeons

oh sorry it was a D2V. so i do need my 3470 to flash on the lateset bios, or flash the F3 bios, then use E3 1240 v2 to flash the latest bios?

Since they are similar (4C 8T), the 1230v2 is cheaper, but in game test i7 3770 will perform a little bit better.
And I have checked the manufacturer site, the E3-1230v2 support in F3 bios, and F3 is the basic version on the Mboard, so I think you don't need to update the BIOS.
