i7 3770k build for just $172.38 yay or nay?

is this build ok for the price? will be buying it used but not abused over the weekend.
I have a gtx 970 that is more than willing to go with it. the deal is $172.38 in usd(9,000 php) in philppine peso.

I think that's a sweet deal. On ebay the 3770k cpu by itself goes for $160.

I have a 3770k with a gtx 960 and I can run most games at high at 1080p. The only thing I recommend is to add a SSD to put windows on and another 8gb of ram (2 x 4) and perhaps a EVO 212 cpu cooler if you want to toy with overclocking.

Its ok for the money but 4GB ram and that 500GB HDD if its a 5400rpm drive will let you down.

its 7200 rpm and i have a single stick ddr3 1600 mhz from team elite sitting at home.

can i run 8 + 4 gb ram though? never tried it

it has a deep cool gammax 300 a 3 heat pipe aftermarket cooler included.

do you think i can get around 4ghz easy?

4ghz should be very easy. I've read that most can get to 4.3 if not 4.5 on a decent air cooler.

I am not sure if pairing 8gb ram with 4gb will cause any reduction in performance but I have that in my setup. I bought my computer on eBay, so I didn't have a choice in the ram config. I have three 4gb sticks and a 8gb stick for a total of 20gb. It runs fine. Perhaps someone who knows more about ram can chime in.

4GB in A2 (2nd slot) and 8GB in B2 (4th slot)

Flex mode allows dual channel with different size sticks with the 2nd half of the bigger stick in single channel.

Thats if mixing those will work, there's a chance they wont play nice together.

Not a fan of the case but that can be easily changed. I like the cpu cooler quite a bit. I'd go for this deal!

Flex mode is automatic so shouldn't need to do anything in the bios.

I would also give it a yay. The cooler should easily do 4ghz all core since most 3770k's can do that on stock voltage. I recommend ditching the 4bg module and get another used 8gb stick with matching settings to your 8gb stick.
