Hello guys,

my setup:
Alienware Aurora R3
Intel Core i5-2300 Socket H2 LGA1155
Asus GTX 780
Alienware 046MHW Motherboard
Chipset Intel P67 Cougar Point B3

I'd like to upgrade my alienware - is the motherboard compatible with a intel i7-3770k cpu?
One more question: Which RAM can i use? Should i buy 2x8GB Corsair Vengeance or is it not compatible with the motherboard/cpu?

Please help :pt1cable:

Thank you in advance! <3

There isn't much information concerning that motherboard, but a 3770K should, in theory, be compatible (a BIOS update may be required). A 2600K certainly seems to be compatible and offers practically the same performance as the 3770K. Sandy Bridge also tended to overclock better than Ivy Bridge as well.
