Hey all,

As the thread title implies, I am looking for a heatsink for my new i7 3770k. I have used classic copper heatsink + fan set ups on my past builds, and they have always worked for me, but I am kinda thinking about trying some new stuff. I have looked at some simple water cooling systems (simple because I have never played with the stuff before and I would like a nice way into it, and I dont have the budget for a very nice system yet) and wanted to know from you all if the copper heatsink I found would be better or worse than the water cooled one.

I am looking at:

Fan + Copper Heatsink: ZALMAN CNPS9500

Water Cooled: Corsair H50

Thanks in advance for any opinions on this.

the corsair Hydro series is excellent in my opinion. I have a h100i and love it! clean, easy to install and keeps your case free from massive fans and heatsinks above your MoBo (better airflow IMO). go for the most expensive Hydro you can afford and crack on! (bear in mind that depending on your case, you may not be able to fit the 240mm rad of a h100/i in there, so probably top end for some would be a H80i[still an excellent cooler])

Regards!

the 410? if so, that's what i have. the 410 has clearance for a noctua D14, but i still choose the h100i if you can afford it. if not, the d14 is one of the best air coolers ever made IMO.
