i7 3770T vs i5 3450

Thats the question if turbo boost is enabled in both then which will perform best...

i7: 8MB cache, 4 cores, 8 threads, 2.5ghz base clock, 3.7ghz turbo

i5: 6MB cache, 4 cores, 4 threads, 3.1ghz base clock, 3.5ghz turbo

I imagine it depends on what exactly the turbo bins are on the i7, how long it spends in turbo, and how threaded your load is.

I'd take the i7, personally.

Idk, given the 3770T's TDP of only 45W, I'm questioning whether it will sustain its turbo clocks to the same extent the i5 would. What will you be using the computer for?

My testing has found that my i5 3570K can sustain around 3.5ghz on all 4 cores @ 45w under an AVX load. I'm guessing that on more typical loads, there won't be any throttling, so long as the iGPU is not in use either.
