Question i7-3820 upgrade

Using an Asus P9X79 LE board, can anyone recomend a good CPU upgrade? This one is starting to feel a little dated. Full specs in signature.

Are you looking for CPU only? What kind of budget are you looking at, and what performance issues have you feeling that your CPU is holding back performance? I had a 3930K in my old Rampage IV Extreme build that I sold recently. Had no issues OCing it to 4.5Ghz all-core. One of these CPUs should work in your build, but not sure worth the cost in today's prices.

I think I would happily spend up to $300 on a new CPU - if its worth it.

My CPU works pretty well for the most part, but holds back my Oculus Rift VR a little bit.

OK. Didn't realize Oculus needed that much CPU power. Haven't used mine much, get sick to fast, lol. Anyways, would you be overclocking? If so, a 4930k would be 6core/12thread and get a decent OC if interested. Just a thought at this point.
