[SOLVED] I7 3970X psu support

Hi. I have a core i7 3970x with Asus rampage IV extreme and 4x4 16gigs of 1600mhz ram. Thermaltake nic c4 air cooler. There's only 1 HDD and DVD in my setup. 1 gtx 750ti is running without any power connectors. And all this is running on a CM masterwatt Lite 500W psu.
Now my CPU is running at 3.50GHz (stock clock) but I want to go for 4.0/4.5ghz, if not then 4.2/3 would be good too, so which PSU should I get?

Get a good 650/750w model like seasonic focus plus gold. My cpu is similar to yours and mine can draw ~300watts at 4.8ghz. Also check if your cooler is up for the job. At 4.5 you most likely will be looking at >1.3v vcore which will generate plenty of heat when the cpu is pushed.
