[SOLVED] i7 4770 (non-k) turbo boost only 3.7 ghz

Hi, I'll need some help with my i7 4770. When is in idle the ghz varies from 3.7 to 3.9 but in full load / stress test it caps at 3.7 ghz(all cores). Motherboard: GA-Z97-H3

If I'm not mistaken, it should stay like this: 2 cores 3.9, 1 core 3.8, 1 core 3.7...

Max turbo depends on number of cores utilized.

1-2 cores utilized - 3.9Ghz​

3 cores utilized - 3.8Ghz​

4 cores utilized - 3.7Ghz.​

So how can I test this, to stress test only 2 cores to see if they go to 3.9ghz ? is there a software for this?

Prime95 is widely available. you can shut down the number of threads to confirm your boost clock - but it sounds like it's behaving normally
