My 4770k just doesn't want to go over 4.2Ghz. If I clock it at 4.4Ghz, it boots, but half the prime95 workers crash.

My voltage setting is at 1.3v. And I didn't overclock my RAM.

Is my CPU a bad overclocker, or average, or what? Thanks!

Specs:
MOBO: ASUS Maximus VI Formula
CPU: i7 4770k
CPU Cooler: Kraken x60
GPU: 2x GTX 770 in SLI
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance (2x8GB)
PSU: Corsair RM850

Hears a simple way to put things. If your CPU crashes from prime95 it mainly means not enough power (voltage)

but then again you don't want to get too high of a voltage.

4.4 is a big overclock. almost 1Ghz increase. Most cpus wont go higher.
