Hello everyone. I'am gonna buy a new gaming pc, and I'am not sure if it's worth it for me to buy 4770k. I know what the difference are, but I don't know if I will get used of hyper threading.

I'am not gonna do any extreme edits. Maybe put a CC on, and thats it. I'am not gonna use photoshop or anything like that.

It's hard to say, right now the i5 rocks, but with the new gen consoles being 8-core, the odds are that games will become better threaded in the near future and will be able to take advantage of the i7's HT. It's a gamble to get the i7 for gaming, but personally, if I had the money, I would get the i7.

Comparing next gen consoles to your computer isn't good for you; the i5 will do extremely well in general gaming and even streaming at 720p with a slight overclock too. Getting the i7 is more of a show off thing if you aren't using it for 1080p streaming/editing.
