Under load still hitting close to 50 with stock clock? Just curious I'm running an h110i Corsair Liquid Cooler and pushing stock with 70%-100% load hitting around 51c.

I don't know why, but I thought the temps would be lower then that. Can anyone confirm this is normal?

Heya. On my 4770k, with stock cooler, at stock speed, I was getting mid 40s. After installing a Corsair H100i, it got down to 27-28 at idle, and mid 50s during Prime95 torture test. Clocked at 4.3Ghz, 31@idle and 59-60 during Prime95 torture test. Fans run at a fixed 1000 rpm at all occassions, and paste used is Ceramique 2.
Hope it helps.
I also had to format windows because during boot my fans were fine, but once windows loaded the case fans would stop working. Not sure what caused that. I also had to uninstall my USB 3.0 Drivers because my keyboard and mouse wouldn't work almost like the power in the USB wouldn't work even if I had tried multiple plugins.

At idle I'm right around the same 29C while I know these are OK temps I expected lower. I reformatted and uninstalled Asus AI Suite 3 for some odd reason during the the Fan Xpert I was having issues with my case fans turning on and off. Not sure if this software was the main issue, but whatever the issue was. I chose to not install this software and just went with the main drivers/software for windows leaving this out.

Thanks for the replies. I thought about doing a minor OC back up to 4.2 or 4.3Ghz, but the games I play barely push this machine I built. Even playing BF4 I haven't had any issues. I just felt as though the temps would be lower for a stock machine under mediocre load

I actually applied new Thermal Paste tonight. I thought using my Warranty with Asus would correct the fan controller issue on the Mobo. I thought I had a faulty Mobo just to find out that it was software related. Had a tech tell me the Mobo was faulty.

I was unable to install my USB 3.0 Drivers because they were not recognizing my Keyboard and Mouse. I had to actually roll back to a previous restore point. Oddly windows and my bios prior to completely booting into windows worked, but once in windows the mouse and keyboard became useless till I did this. Glad to know my temps with this cooler are on par atleast.
