Hi,

I need your advise, i have asus b85m-g motherboard which runs all cores together @3.8ghz which is the max turbo speed for 4 cores.

My friend have MSI B85 P33 motherboard which runs his 4790 @4.00ghz on all cores cuz he can change bclk and i cant.

His motherboard is damaged and need 20USD to be fixed.

Is it worth getting the MSI, repair it and move my 4790 to it?

In other words is the 200mhz on 4 cores makes a difference in gaming?

3.8ghz x 4 coree vs 4.00ghz x 4 cores.

I have Gtx 1070

I would not recommend the change. I agree with The Original Ralph and SkyNetRising.

You're also talking about a damaged second-hand mobo of which you do not know if after fixing it other problems will appear.

It is overcloked by BCLK is potentially harmful to the hardware and it is likely that the mobo is resentful.

I believe that all the inconveniences are not worth it for the small advantage you would get.
It depends on the graphic card you have and the resolution of the monitor. I advise you to use the MSI Afterburner to check the CPU and GPU load during the game.

If the CPU is 100%, 200 MHz will help. If it is the GPU, the one that is 100% will not help.
