i7 4790 bottleneck

So I usually do a full pc upgrade every 4ish years. So new everything except caee and fans and what not. And upgrade my gpu every 2ish years. My last full upgrade was about 2 years ago so I don't really want to spend a small fortune again. I want to upgrade my 290x to the 980 ti but I'm thinking my i7 4790 non k will bottleneck it. I got the non k version months before devils canyon was released and iv been kicking myself ever since. So in a nut shell will my i7 4790 throttle a 980 ti

Your cpu wont bottleneck anything, and the performance gain from a 290x to a 980Ti is not much, you would get more performance by either getting a second 290x or just wait a while.

Iv been looking at afew benchmarks and the 980ti has about a 20-30 fps increase over the 290x in every game. I will be making this my last upgrade till I get a 4k display. Atm I just want a constant 60fps at 1080 with games on ultra with zero dips and my 290x can't do that

ok, and your cpu is perfectly fine, it wont bottleneck anything.
