Question i7 4790 heating upto 100 Degrees while gaming

So I recently bought a used i7 4790 and it's heating too much, it's going upto 100 degrees on stock and another akasa cooler. I was using the same stock cooler on my old i5 4440 and it doesn't go up than 75 degrees while gaming. What should I do? I'm not overclocking or anything like that, some expert's thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!

A cooler that works on an less powerful CPU does not mean it works on the 4790. It is power hungry
You need to spend about 50$/Euro on a decent cooler.

I7 4790 is a hot chip,
-what are your ambient temps?
how are your case fans oriented?
That Akasa cooler isn't better than the stock cooler, if so only slightly.

As Electro pointed out you should look into getting better cooler.

So hitting 100 degrees on i7 4790 while gaming is normal?

We have told you - you need a decent cooler.

Solution = Buy a decent cooler!

Even the stock cooler that comes with the i7 4790 is inadequate. I know because I have one. You definitely need an aftermarket cooler, especially when playing the latest triple A titles because that processor will be pegged to 100% load most of the time.

is not, whats your temps? even with stock coler at stock settings, you shouldnt ever hit 100c unless of course your chip is running completely dry.
