Hi
i have i7 4790 Not (K) i have have been facing heat up problems with stock cooler whenever my cpu usage goes above 75% the temps reaches 95-100C
then i buyed Cooler Master hyper 212 turbo and it changed the temps so little their is a little difference now the temps goes upto 90C
and in full stress it reaches 90-98C
some people are saying my there is Problem in my processor.
but still i hoping delidding cpu might reduce the temps.
so what should i do replace the cpu or what?

if your thermal paste is good and with that CPU cooler and still hitting them temps your CPU is on the way out.
Delidding your CPU will help little it will only get worse as the silicone degrades.
it is just time to get a new CPU,MB,RAM.

I have been having a similar issue with my i7 860 but the most common thing to try is to remove your cooler and thermal paste and then we instal them using more thermal paste to make sure you fill any gaps try this and see if the issue continues

the ideal temps are good 40-45 in room temprature of 31C

you mention 4790K , but you dont mention if your overclocking it or not.
by default the 4790K even with basic intel heatsink will run 35-80c

but if you overclock it , all best are off, and you best get an AIO for it, because your little 212 isn't capable of handling the heat this CPU can produce, also depends how much voltage your pushing out on your cpu as O.C., over 1.3v and yes it will try to fry itself

I am hopping you did not pay much for it as it is a old gen now.
if it is working run it till it dies then move to the latest generation

bro is your issue resolved?? please reply me because i am also facing this issue i changed my thermal paste but without gaming temps are fine but when i just start game (APEX LEGENDS) on loading screen my temps increase very fast and cross 90C . My processor is same as your's i7 4790( non k). i discussed this with many people they are saying to change cooler but i also talked with some people they are using same i7 4790 with stock cooler and their temps are fine with gaming.
