i7 4790 is 92mm cooling sufficient?

Hi guys,

I am building a system with an i7 4790 in a small mITX case: Silverstone Raven RVZ01 (I presume limited airflow?) and am planning to use the Noctua NH-L12 Low profile CPU cooler in this build.

BUT I can only use the 92mm fan without the additional 120mm fan the cooler comes with due to case restrictions.

Will this provide more than enough cooling?

I will not be overclocking but will be doing CPU intensive tasks from time to time.

Thanks!

Here is the Noctua Guidelines: http://noctua.at/main.php?show=nh_l12_tdp_guidelines

Noctuas are incredibly powerful and very quiet coolers, you have a great one as your choice, don't change. Push-pull is an effective cooling method, would be fine for cooling the CPU. I'd get the Noctua over Silverstone :)

So just confirming, one 92mm fan (excluding provided 120mm fan) in a very limited airflow case would be more than enough for the i7 4790?

And I live in Sydney with 40 C (104 F) summer temperatures.

thank you, much appreciated!
Do you have any other suggestions for coolers for my case?

Max cooler height is 83mm,

The following silverstone cooler fits almost perfectly but the case fan on top of the cpu must be removed.

I figured having the push-pull configuration with the NH-L12 92mm fan and the 120mm case fan would provide better cooling. Is this right?
