Hello! Title say all..

Price difference:
i7 4790 = $345
i7 4790k = $408


Again No overclocking

Only Gaming and video editing!

Is 4790k worth extra 63$ ?Is 400mhz worth ?

That depends on what your time is worth and what you expect performance wise. 400Mhz is an 11 % boost. Won't be noticed in most games but might be noticeable in some, especially multi-player mode in AAA games.

It will also be noticed more in video editing

Also many video editing apps like CUDA which is an nVidia only thing
 
Understood.... but remember, if you are looking at it from a ROI perspective (Return on Investment) ....

"I am getting a 11% increase in CPU performance for an 18% increase in CPU price.... it isn't worth it". Make sense ? No, False Logic. The CPU doesn't go faster by itself, your whole system does.

"I am getting a 11% increase in system performance for an 7% increase in system price (assumed $1,000 system cost).... well that's a different story isn't it ? Bit tougher of a decision

But still.... if ya budget is firm, ya can only grab what fits ya budget limits.
