Ive seen on
this site that the i7 4790k is only $320. I also saw the
GTX 970 and saw that this was only $330. I was wondering where they got these prices from because when I looked them up they were about $100 more expensive. If anyone could tell me where they found these prices that would be great!
It sucks but ever since black friday the prices of parts in Canada skyrocketed. I originally had my motherboard+cpu priced at just over $400
before the last black friday sale with shipping and taxes included, and ended up paying almost $600 for the combo. I even waited till boxing week to buy the parts, lol.
I bought the i5 4690k and had to pay $284.99cdn for it, and before black friday it was only $219.99. My motherboard was only supposed to be around $169.99, and I had to pay $219.99 for it. Then with taxes and shipping it came up to about $600(I paid for express shipping)
Video cards took a similar jump. I thought I read somewhere recently that Canadian online retailers were going to have to adjust their prices for some reason. I can't remember the reason they were doing so though. Probably because our dollar has been sinking lower and lower compared to the U.S. dollar. Like the other guys said, it's the exchange rate.
