I recently just built my computer with an i7-4790k, maximus IIV HERO, and a h100i. My backplate was loose so I installed rubber washers so it is tight. My heatsink is on there tight and I used the pea method to apply my arctic silver 5. I run two monitors at 1080p if that makes a difference. I have an h440 case and my h100i fans are running full speed. My temps on my cpu are the following:

Idle: 30-40c
CS GO: 60-68c
Prime95 (newest version) fft-small: 85-95c

Do these temperatures look right to you? Do I need new fans for my h100i? If so, what kind? I would really appreciate your feedback.

The temps you are getting in Primer95, for a non-overclocked chip, are way too high. -something is wrong.

The H100i comes with thermal paste pre-applied - why did you bother using your own?

What is the rest of the cooling set up in your case like? Where have you mounted the H100i?
