i7-4790K or gtx 980

hi people im in need of a upgrade but unsure which.
im currently running I5 3570k clocked to 4.5 and a gtx 660ti

I do a hell of alot of recording when ever im gaming im recording, also rendering but im not to concerned about that main thing is FPS

In an ideal world i would get both dont really want spend to much, im swayed more towards the 980, im unsure how much of a difference a i7 would make i know it will help the recording due to the hyper-threading also rendering but i can see the 980 helping more frame rate side

^+1 agree completely. The GTX980 would bring you the most shift in FPS. At 4.5ghz the I53570k is still kick ass, and will still serve you well for a time. The I7 will hardly bring anything to the table at stock, maybe OC'ed yes, but even then a similar increase in FPS that the change in GPU will yield.

Get the gtx 980 because Intel 14nm cpu's is around the corner, if you want to upgrade then do it then.
