Hello, I'll be building a pc. It's budget build since I don't live un the US and things are kinda expensive here. I'm coming from a i5-2310 with a gtx 660 and 8gigs DDR3 RAM, so any upgrade will be enormous.
I know the 4790k and 6600(non-k) perform quite close, but the 6600 is 76% of the i7's price, and if I go with the i7 I'll have to pay a bit more for an overclocking MOBO. Also, if I grab the i5-4460(half the price of the i7) I'll have the money to buy a GTX 1070 instead of the 1060 in the other build. Will it be a bottleneck? Will the GTX 1070 be worth it, even on a slower CPU? I only play on gaming. I have a 1080p 120hz monitor (benQ XL2420Z).
PS: Is there anyway I can utilize my old RAM or HD? 2x4GB Kingston DDR3 @1333MHz and a WDC 500GB HD. If I could, it would be actually awesome for the budget.
PS2: These are the only parts I have chosen yet. I'm still open for MOBOs.

The i5 4460 + GTX1070 is the best option for pure gaming performance, but the GTX1060 would be MORE than strong enough for your monitor.

I would go with the newer i5 6600 or even 6500 and the GTX1060, BUT you would have to buy new DDR4 RAM. If you want to reuse your RAM, go with the i7 4790k, i7 4790 or even the Xeon e3-1231v3 and get the 1060.
