i7 4790k overclocked to 4.4 ghz boosting to 4.8 ghz

Hi, I am having a very interesting issue where my overclocked i7 4790k (4.4ghz) shows up as 4.81 ghz max, while playing games.

And I was wondering if this is the i7 turboboosting 400mhz on top of 4.4ghz or if this is a glitch in activity moniter.

(i7 4790k, Hyper 212 evo, MSI Z97 G45, sapphire r9 390 nitro, Antec 750 watt psu)

Try turning turbo off and see if it still goes to 4.8Ghz, what are you using to monitor?

I am using the "Acer G226HQL 21.5-Inch Screen LED Monitor"

^^ he meant what software are you using to monitor your frequency? I would install CPU-Z and see what your core frequency is running at idle and under load.

Try using MSI Afterburner if you want temps, usages etc
