Hello guys! I've been having temperature problems with my CPU for the last few days.

Last week I moved to a new apartment and I wasn't using my computer for a few days and I only turned it on a few days after moving.

I started playing Destiny 2 with my friends when I started having huge stutter for no reason. I decided to open HWMonitor to check the temps and it was at 100 ºC. That had never happened before.
I was also getting 70 ºC in the BIOS.

I have a H100i GTX Corsair water cooler and the LED on it was red and it was the first time it happened too. I don't overclock or anything.
I already sent the cooler to Corsair to see if they find a problem with it because I think there was something wrong with it too.

Back with the stock cooler the temperature is still fluctuating a lot and when gaming it goes as high as 100 ºC and pretty much everything I do makes the temps shoot up very fast.
Now it's seating at around 48-61 ºC with Steam open and no downloads (the temps keep going up and down). When Steam was starting the temps got to 73 ºC.

I used AIDA64 to stress test it and I told the CPU was overheating.
I tested it with a stock cooler and the temps are as high as they were with the water cooler.

*These are the pictures I took when I came back to my computer. I just left it running as it does when I'm not using it, Steam and other apps are open like they always are.

I took these while running The Witcher 3:

(One thing I noticed is that the temperatures never go over 100 ºC.

I don't know what to do.
I'm going to post some pictures with the readings.

PS. Sorry if the post is confusing. I'm finding it difficult to explain it.

I double checked that with both coolers.

ok so I downloaded aida 64 trial to compare your settings to mine, I have 4790k also, and I see your cooler and pump are not detected. So I am assuming your cooler is not set up properly or not working at all.

Now I'm only using the stock cooler because I sent Corsair's water cooler to be serviced. It still has a 2 year warranty left.

I have the 4790k and it is a thermal beast. The only thing you can do is turn up all case fans to max or turbo and wait for your cooler to return. Also in your bios enable every power saving choice the motherboard offers you and buy top of the line thermal paste and reseat your cooling fan.

Sorry guys. I was out travelling for work.
I don't remember it being like that before. I don't understand what's making it so hot. I tried resetting the cooler a few times now.

I'm almost giving up.
